Porous Asphalt for Stormwater Management
Recently, GAPA Technical Director, Dr. Will Rogers, gave a presentation on Porous Asphalt Pavements to the City of Atlanta's Office of Watershed Management. Atlanta is moving forward with a green stormwater infrastructure inititiave to manage and treat the first inch of stormwater runoff on-site. The city is looking into rain gardens, bio swales, green roofs, and porous pavements as means of accomplishing their goals. Dr. Rogers explained how Porous Asphalt Pavements work and showed how they can be an integral part of an overall green stormwater management program. Attached is a PDF of the presentation.
